You can sell your property at any time and an independent survey will decide what your share of the property is worth. Newlon Housing Trust will arrange for the valuer on your behalf.
Newlon Housing Trust will arrange for your home to be valued by an Independent Valuer, you will have to pay the valuers fee.
Unless your own your property outright, you will normally have a ‘nomination period’ in your lease. This is usually for a period of 2 months during which we will try to find a buyer from our Purchasers Register. A fee is charged for this service, which is normally 0.75% of the properties value. A fee of £100.00 is charged for the landlord’s enquiries. There is also a fee for notices and consents of £35.00
If we are unable to find a purchaser for your property within the nomination period, you may sell your share of the property on the open market.
You are required to pay Newlon’s legal costs when you sell your home.
